iPod-inspired Buildings
Posted on December 28, 2006

ip0d-building3.jpgOmniyat Properties is getting set to construct a 23-story luxury tower inspired by none other than Apple's iPod. Slated to be the new "iPad residential tower" designed by Hong Kong-based architects James Law Cybertecture International. The 23-story tower, due to open in 2009, will be built on a “docking station” at an angle of six degrees including more than 200 homes and offices. For some reason, when I look at this building I think Nokia and their batteries.

ipod_building_2.jpgWith a property portfolio worth Dh2.7 billion in its first year of operations - made up of four luxury commercial developments in Business Bay and one residential tower - the company has already made a swift impression on the market. They displayed the final design model at the Cityscape Expo in Dubai.
