Celeb Costumes Posted on February 28, 2008 Seems that everyone has Oscars fever or is in the grip of some celebrity mania, because if there is any prominent fancy dress costume theme I’ve noticed recently, then stars of the Hollywood screens it would be! Luckily, getting kitted out for a quirky costume party is easier than scoring a date with Kirsten Dunst. In fact, it’s virtually hassle-free. All you party punters out there just need to have a look online for cheap fancy dress, and you can get your perfect costume delivered to your door!
These party-hire places not only hire costumes, but they also give you the option to buy costumes. It’s a great idea to have a bit of a costume tucked away, lurking in wait for the next time the caped crusader might need to strike again at a fancy dress party.
Even though it might be a bit depressing to have the host of the party a little two-dimensional, there’s no need to worry with celebrities cardboard cutouts! They’ll be the life of the party, guaranteed, and all available online along with wigs, hats, character costumes and general party supplies.
Don’t leave the dress-ups for the kids. Impress family, friends and untold amounts of others with a sassy, witty or downright funny costume at your next fancy dress party. Celebrities, Gangsters & Moles, Hawaiian, Hens & Stags, Halloween – whatever the theme, the perfect costume and accessories are out there, waiting for you! |

Black Sea Holidays Posted on February 27, 2008 For me, the Black Sea always held a bit of a mysterious allure. I mean, for starters, there’s the name. If the Black Forest is home to Germany’s woodland folklore, then what could the Black Sea have in store? Then there’s the location. As one of the bodies of water separating eastern Europe from western Asia, it’s cross-continental and neighboured by Bulgaria, Romania, the Ukraine, Russia, Georgia and Turkey. If you drop a few nearby place names, it just reeks of the exotic, the romantic and the historic: Istanbul, the Bosporus strait, the Dardanelles, Odessa, Sevastopol, the Crimea, and the Sea of Azov – see what I mean? If that doesn’t inspire you to spiel off in florid nineteenth century exploratory verse, I don’t know what will!
Back to reality, and something more firm and solid like looking at a map of the region, I realise my “few” visits to the Black Sea have covered beach-side retreats in all the bordering countries except the Ukraine and Georgia. Many years ago, I checked out the beaches on offer in Bulgaria and Romania, then those along the Anatolian Peninsular of Turkey – and I have favourable reports of all! Most recently, I spent a summer drifting slowly down the coast from Novorossiysk to Sochi in Russia. I’d recommend it to anyone, especially the pristine beaches anywhere north of Sochi. For Russia with a Mediterranean feel, this area can’t be topped!
But even though I enjoyed the wine, sunshine and grapevines of southern Russia, my favourite places along the Black Sea are in Bulgaria and Romania. Like they say, first impressions last! I’ve even wondered about investing in property Bulgaria or property Romania ever since the two nations joined the European Union. With better access on European flight routes, increasing levels of tourist interest in these holiday hotspots, booming property investment markets and life at a fraction of UK and European costs – why not?
Other recommended investments are for Brazil property, Morocco property or for property in Dubai, but I just can't get my Black Sea dreams out of my head! |

On my recent trip to Australia I discovered a whole new aspect of this exciting city and that is one of a an ideal stopover. Bangkok can be best discovered as an ideal stopover destination when you fly with Thai. The new Surnabhumi Airport is an ideal transfer point and an exciting new tourist hub that welcomes you to this beautiful city. Bangkok has an efficient transport system that can take you the most happening parts of the city without burning a hole in your pocket. More.. | Comments (0) |
Flyin’ High Posted on May 13, 2007
I have a rather unpleasant chore on my to-do list, and it’s been hanging there for quite some time now. My old notebook needs to be put to sleep. Though it’s been a great been-there-done-that companion, it is getting on in years (circa 2002) and wont to sudden strokes of paralysis. I trawled the net for a new one yesterday and zeroed in on the Flybook VM at the Dynamism.com place.

Here comes Spidey Posted on May 9, 2007 No other film of 2007 has generated so much anticipation than Spiderman 3. Now that the film is out and has been declared a huge box office success, one can say that a lot has gone into the publicity of the film which has made it into a phenomena today. One such publicity tool was the Spiderman 3 official movie blog posted on the film's website that gave Spidey fans something new to look forward to as far as their hero was concerned. There is so much for Spidey lovers who get caught in this web. Movie Trailers, behind the scene looks and the use of state-of-the-art media, that makes this particular blogging experience into one thrilling ride. Sony has left no stone unturned in to give the fans a much bigger experience as fans can share their own personal experiences and of course the anticipation of watching their favorite super hero spin a web of thrill and excitement. Remembering the Cooler King Posted on May 9, 2007
I’ve always had a thing for watches. Never had patience for the delicate, pea-sized-dial ones though; the bigger the dial, the chunkier the strap, the happier I am.
Always had a thing for Steve McQueen, too. With his quirky suavity, the image of him making his ‘Great Escape’, astride that signature bike of his, is part of Hollywood folklore. I loved him in ‘Papillon’ and ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’ too. They really don’t make stars like him anymore, do they?
TAG Heuer has decided to pay tribute to the king of cool, and fittingly so.
They’ve come up with a TAG Heuer Monaco Vintage Limited Edition Steve McQueen Watch, which sports a red, white and blue striped dial, and a steel strap. A new but retro version of their classic square-faced Monaco watch, I found it selling for $3,995 on Amazon! A bit steep but, maybe, not for some die-hard Cooler King fan!
